Rice Water, Chia Seeds Ice Cubes

Large pores, dull skin, and uneven texture are common skincare concerns—especially in hot, humid climates. Fortunately, you don’t need expensive serums or facials to address them. A simple yet powerful solution lies in your kitchen: ice cubes made from rice water and chia seeds. This natural recipe not only minimizes pores but also firms the skin and enhances radiance. When applied daily, these cubes boost circulation, tighten the skin, and give your face a visible glow.

Ingredients Required

  • 2 tbsp rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp aloe vera gel (for soothing and hydration)
  • 2 drops tea tree oil (optional, for acne-prone skin)
  • 1 tsp rose water (for added freshness and glow)

Procedure

  1. Soak & Cook Rice: Soak the rice in 1 cup of water for 30 minutes. Then gently boil it until the water becomes cloudy.
  2. Strain the Rice Water: Once the water cools down, strain it into a bowl and discard the rice or use it in another DIY.
  3. Add Chia Seeds: Stir chia seeds into the rice water and let them soak for 15 minutes until they swell and turn gel-like.
  4. Mix in Extras: Add aloe vera gel, rose water, and tea tree oil (if using). Mix well to form a uniform blend.
  5. Pour & Freeze: Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze overnight.

How to Use

  • Every morning or evening, take one cube and gently massage it over your clean face for 1–2 minutes.
  • Focus on areas with visible pores (cheeks, nose, forehead).
  • Let the water dry naturally on your face. Do not rinse.
  • Follow up with a moisturizer or sunscreen.

Benefits

  • Rice Water: Rich in antioxidants, vitamins B and E, and natural starches that tighten skin and reduce pore size.

  • Chia Seeds: Loaded with omega-3 fatty acids and zinc to calm inflammation and nourish the skin barrier.

  • Aloe Vera: Hydrates and soothes irritated skin while promoting elasticity.

  • Tea Tree Oil: Prevents acne and unclogs pores (especially for oily skin types).

  • Rose Water: Adds a natural glow and refreshes tired, dull skin.
