Natural Drink with Amla and Triphala to Boost Hair Growth

Hair health starts from within. If you’re facing hair fall, dull strands, or slow growth, it may be time to nourish your body with natural, Ayurvedic remedies. One such powerful tonic is a natural drink made from Amla (Indian Gooseberry) and Triphala—both packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and digestive benefits that support hair growth from the root.

Let’s learn how to prepare this ancient herbal drink at home using simple ingredients for stronger, shinier, and healthier hair.

Ingredients Required

  • 1 teaspoon Triphala powder
  • 2 teaspoons Amla juice (fresh or store-bought, no added sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon Honey (optional, for taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (for digestion)
  • 1 glass Warm water (200 ml)
  • Few drops of lemon juice (optional, adds Vitamin C boost)

Procedure

  1. Boil cumin seeds in 200 ml of water for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain and pour the warm cumin-infused water into a glass.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder and stir until dissolved.
  4. Mix in 2 teaspoons of Amla juice.
  5. Add honey if desired, and stir well.
  6. Finally, squeeze a few drops of fresh lemon juice for an added antioxidant punch.
  7. Drink warm or at room temperature, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning.

Instructions

  • Drink this mixture once a day (early morning is ideal).
  • Use it consistently for at least 3–4 weeks to notice visible changes in hair strength, growth, and shine.
  • If using Triphala capsules, open and use the powder inside.
  • You may refrigerate Amla juice but always consume the drink fresh.

Benefits of This Drink for Hair Growth

1. Amla – The Natural Hair Tonic

  • Rich in Vitamin C, Amla improves collagen production which strengthens hair roots.
  • It acts as a natural DHT blocker, helping reduce hair loss.
  • Flushes out toxins from the liver, promoting better nutrient absorption for the scalp.

2. Triphala – The Detox Powerhouse

  • A combination of Amla, Haritaki, and Bibhitaki, Triphala balances digestion and metabolism.
  • Detoxifies the system, which helps in clearing skin and promoting scalp health.
  • Encourages new follicle growth by improving blood flow to the scalp.

3. Cumin Seeds – Improves Absorption

  • Supports better digestion and helps the body absorb the nutrients from Triphala and Amla more effectively.
  • Prevents bloating, which often hampers gut health and nutrient assimilation.

4. Lemon & Honey – Boost Immunity & Shine

  • Lemon juice increases Vitamin C content, helping with collagen formation.
  • Honey adds natural sweetness and antimicrobial properties to improve gut and skin balance.
