Cetaphil is gentle, but on its own it’s not doing much beyond a clean rinse. That’s fine if that’s all you need. But if your skin is dull or congested and you don’t want to swap out your whole routine, adding one thing to your existing cleanser is usually easier than it sounds.
A few drops of rosehip oil mixed into Cetaphil before you wash gives you vitamin A and fatty acids with zero extra steps. It doesn’t make the foam greasy. I started doing this when my skin was going through a dry spell and it helped a lot with rough patches.
Turmeric is the one people are weirdest about, and I get it — add too much and you’re mildly orange for an hour. But a very small pinch mixed in, a few times a week, does actually calm redness. It’s not dramatic. It just quietly works.
Raw honey stirred into the cleanser turns it into more of a mask situation. Leave it on for five minutes before rinsing. It’s thick, slightly sticky, and pulls moisture in. If you break out regularly, this is probably the first one worth testing because honey is antibacterial and doesn’t mess with your skin barrier.
Aloe is the boring one, but boring is sometimes what your skin needs. A few drops mixed in makes the whole thing more calming — good for when your face feels reactive after too much sun or wind.
Start with one. See what your skin does. Mixing all four together turns into a science experiment that probably won’t end well.
