Milk & turmeric face wash to get smooth and glowing skin instantly

Turmeric is the golden spice, that has been celebrated for its skin-brightening and anti-inflammatory properties for centuries. When combined with the moisturizing benefits of milk, you get a natural face wash that can help brighten your complexion, reduce acne, and promote a smooth, glowing skin.

This simple DIY face wash can be made with ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen and is perfect for those looking for a gentle, natural way to achieve clear skin.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 tablespoon of Milk (preferably full-fat or organic milk for maximum benefits)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey (optional, for extra moisture)
  • 1-2 teaspoons of Gram Flour (optional, for gentle exfoliation)
  • A small bowl and spoon for mixing

How to Make & Use the Milk and Turmeric Face Wash:

  1. In a clean mixing bowl, add 1 tablespoon of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and 1 teaspoon of honey (if using). For those with slightly rough skin, you can add 1-2 teaspoons of gram flour for gentle exfoliation.
  2. Stir the mixture until you have a smooth, consistent paste. The milk will help dissolve the turmeric and honey, creating a rich and soothing formula.
  3. Wet your face with lukewarm water. Take a small amount of the face wash and gently massage it onto your skin in circular motions. Focus on areas that need extra care, such as the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin), or areas prone to blemishes.
  4. Let the face wash sit on your skin for 2-3 minutes. This gives the turmeric time to work its brightening magic while the milk nourishes and softens the skin.
  5. After a few minutes, rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water, then finish with a splash of cold water to close your pores.
  6. Pat your face dry with a clean towel and follow up with a moisturizer to lock in hydration and keep your skin soft.

Benefits of Milk and Turmeric Face Wash:

  • Turmeric: Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric helps to brighten dark spots, even out skin tone, and reduce acne and redness. It also fights free radicals that cause premature aging.
  • Milk: Rich in vitamins A and D, milk helps to deeply nourish the skin, keeping it hydrated and soft. The lactic acid in milk also works as a gentle exfoliant, removing dead skin cells and revealing fresh, glowing skin.
  • Honey (optional): Honey is a natural humectant, which means it draws moisture into the skin. It also has antibacterial properties that can help with acne and reduce inflammation.
  • Gram Flour (optional): Gram flour (also known as chickpea flour) acts as a mild scrub that helps to remove impurities, excess oil, and dead skin cells without being too harsh on the skin.

How Often to Use:

You can use this milk and turmeric face wash 2-3 times a week for clear, glowing skin. If you have sensitive skin, start by using it once a week to see how your skin reacts, and adjust accordingly. Once you feel that your skin has adjusted with all the ingredients, you can use it daily also.
