Hygiene Rules That Every Girl Should Follow During Menstrual Period

One of the basic practices every girl needs to follow is menstrual hygiene.
Every girl needs to take extreme precautions during menstruation to make sure that her body is clean to avoid infections.

1. Change your sanitary napkin every 4-6 hours:
Changing the sanitary napkins or tampons within every 4-6 hours is the cardinal rule to establish vaginal hygiene.
Menstrual blood attracts numerous species from our bodies when released from the bloodstream, which multiply in the warmth of the blood, causing pain, rashes, or infections of the urinary tract.
Changing your sanitary napkin or tampon periodically limits and avoids infections from the growth of these bacteria.

2. Wash yourself properly:
It is incredibly necessary to wash your vagina daily because after you have removed your sanitary napkin, the species cling to your body.
Most people wash regularly, but not in the right way.

3. Don’t use soaps or vagina hygiene products:
Although it’s a good idea to use vaginal hygiene products every day, using these products during menstruation will change things around.
Vaginas have their own system of cleaning that comes into play during menstrual cycles, and these artificial hygiene products can disrupt the natural process that leads to bacterial infections and development.

4. Discard the sanitary napkin properly:
It is a necessary step to properly dispose of your tampons and sanitary napkins.
Before you throw them out, wrap them appropriately so the bacteria and viruses do not spread.
Make sure that you do not flush them since this will obstruct the toilet, allowing the water to back up, spreading the bacteria all over it.
After you have wrapped and discarded the used tampons and sanitary napkins, washing your hands properly is of utmost importance because you are likely to touch the stained area when wrapping them.

5. Stick to one method of sanitation:
In heavy flow, which is an effective strategy, people prefer to use tampons and sanitary napkins, or two sanitary napkins simultaneously.
While it can keep you dry and avoid stained clothing, it can also cause infections.
The combination of two blood-absorbing methods makes us unaware of the need to replace our tampons and sanitary napkins.
The accumulated blood invites bacteria without regular change and causes infections.
It is also advised to use one sanitary napkin and change it during heavy flow as often as you can.
These cardinal regulations will help you stay safe and better control your time.

6. Wear comfortable, clean underwear
While changing your sanitary pad is essential, it is also important to wear something comfortable during these days.
Tight thongs or underwear made of fabric that doesn’t allow your skin to breathe will also lead to infections.
Stick to clean and comfortable cotton knickers that do not stick to your skin.

7 Wearing Clean Clothes And Properly Dried Undergarments
Another factor in menstrual hygiene is wearing properly washed clothes and undergarments that have been dried properly under the sun.
Damp undergarments can be the home of different kinds of bacteria you don’t want to invite into your body.
