No one likes dark lips, especially girls always wish to have baby pink lips. For that, I am going to share some very simple home remedies today. I have used one main ingredient in these home remedies ie, beetroot. Beetroot juice imparts a natural pink tint to your lips without burning a hole in your pocket.
DIY#1 – Beetroot lip balm with vaseline
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon Vaseline (petroleum jelly)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sweet almond oil
- 1/2 teaspoon beetroot powder
- 1-2 drops vitamin E oil (optional, for extra nourishment)
- A small container for storing the lip balm
Instructions:
- Start by placing 1 tablespoon of Vaseline in a clean bowl. This will serve as the base of your lip balm.
- Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the Vaseline. Honey acts as a natural humectant, drawing moisture into your lips and helping to keep them soft and smooth.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of sweet almond oil. This oil is rich in vitamins and provides additional moisture, making it ideal for dry lips.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of beetroot powder. Beetroot powder gives the lip balm a natural, rosy tint and adds antioxidant properties.
- For an added boost of hydration and nourishment, add 1-2 drops of vitamin E oil (optional).
- Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly until you get a smooth, well-blended balm.
- Transfer the mixture into a small, clean container and let it set for a few hours.
How to Use:
Apply the beetroot lip balm to your lips whenever you need moisture and a hint of color. It’s perfect for daily use, and it helps keep your lips nourished and soft.
DIY#2 – Just Beetroot Slice
Ingredients required: Procedure: - Slice a red beetroot and store the pieces in your refrigerator.
- Simply massage your lips with a juicy piece in your leisure time.
- Sit with a beetroot slice in your hand whenever you watch television.
- This will do the trick! It will remove tan from the lips naturally and colors up your lip too.
- Pink lips are all yours in a few days.
Frequency: - Do it every night before hitting the bed to get the best results.
DIY#3 – Beetroot-coconut oil lip stain
Ingredients required: - Beetroot: 1
- Extra virgin coconut oil/ honey/ beeswax: 1 teaspoon
Procedure: - Wash and peel the beetroot.
- Cut it into small pieces.
- Transfer the contents in a blender.
- Blend it into a smooth paste.
- Strain out beetroot juice in a clean container.
- Add coconut oil/ honey or heated beeswax in beetroot juice.
- Mix everything well.
- When the concoction starts to solidify, transfer it into an airtight container.
- You lip tint is ready.
Frequency: - Replace your regular lip balm with this organic lip balm to keep your lips soft, moist and free from harsh chemicals.
DIY#4 – Beetroot-vegetable glycerin lip balm
Ingredients required: - Hexane-free castor oil: 3 tablespoons
- Beeswax pastilles: 1 tablespoon
- Organic Unrefined Mango Butter: 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable glycerin: 2 tablespoons
- Organic beet powder: 2 tablespoons
- Peppermint oil: 10 drops (optional)
- Mica: just a pinch (optional)
Procedure: - Grab a mixing bowl.
- Add beetroot powder and vegetable glycerin in it.
- Mix it well until you achieve a face pack like consistency.
- Use a cheesecloth to strain out this mixture and get rid of all the small solid particles.
- Extract the smooth paste and move on to the next step.
- Use the double boiler method to melt beeswax pastilles, refined mango butter, vegetable glycerin, and castor oil together.
- Transfer the contents in a mixing bowl.
- Add beetroot-vegetable glycerin mixture in it.
- Give it a good stir to make sure that everything gets mixed up well.
- At last, add some peppermint oil and mica in the concoction and mix it well.
- That’s it, you are done, transfer the natural lip balm in an empty air-tight container.
Frequency: - Use it every day whenever your lips feel dry to get the best results.
DIY beetroot-shea butter lip balm to get baby soft lips
Ingredients required: - White organic beeswax: 1 teaspoon
- Organic shea butter: 2 teaspoons
- Organic castor oil: 3 teaspoons
- Organic sunflower oil: 1 teaspoon
- Coconut oil: 1 teaspoon
- Organic beetroot powder: 1 teaspoon
- Peppermint essential oil: 5 drops
- Organic beetroot juice concentrate: 1/2 teaspoon
Procedure: - Use the double boiler method to melt beeswax, shea butter, castor oil, sunflower oil, and coconut oil together.
- Add beetroot juice concentrate in the concoction.
- Mix it well.
- At last, you can add essential oil if you want to.
- Mix it again, and your lip balm is ready.
- Transfer everything in an empty lip balm container.
- You can easily use it for 2 months.
Frequency: - Use this lip balm every day instead of your regular lip balm whenever your lips feel dried up.
DIY Vitamin E-beetroot lip balm recipe
Ingredients required: - Petroleum Jelly: 1/2 teaspoon
- Coconut Oil: 1/4 teaspoon
- Shea Butter: 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Vitamin E capsules: 2
- Beetroot Juice: 1/4 teaspoon
- Strawberry flavoring essence: 2 drops
Procedure: - Wash and peel the beetroot.
- Grate half of it.
- Strain out beetroot juice from it.
- In a separate container, pop out the contents of 2 vitamin E capsules, then, add and combine all the other ingredients together.
- Then add beetroot juice concentrate and whish it well.
- Your lip balm is ready.
- Transfer it to an airtight container.
- Refrigerate it overnight.
Frequency: To get the best results use it at least twice a day.
DIY Beetroot-jojoba oil lip balm recipe
Ingredients required: - Coconut oil: 3 tablespoons
- White beeswax: 2 tablespoons
- Jojoba oil: 1 tablespoon
- Beetroot powder: 1 tablespoon
- Vitamin E capsules: 2
- Essential oil: a few drops
Procedure: - At first, you need to melt coconut oil and beeswax, using the double boiler.
- Ten add beetroot powder, jojoba oil, essential oil and pop out the contents of vitamin E capsules in the mixture.
- Give it a good stir to make sure that everything gets mixed up well.
- Once it turns into a beautiful maroon color, transfer the contents in an airtight container.
- Refrigerate if required.
Frequency: - Use it every day before going to bed to get the best results.
DIY Beetroot-castor oil-jojoba oil lip balm recipe for smooth lips
Ingredients required: - Beeswax: 0.1oz
- Virgin coconut oil: 0.2oz
- Castor oil: 0.56oz
- Jojoba oil: 0.35oz
- Vitamin E oil: 0.03oz
- Vegetable glycerin: 0.14oz
- Beetroot powder: 1 tsp
Procedure: - Take a pan.
- Put it on low heat.
- Add all the oils together.
- Combine vegetable glycerine and beetroot powder separately.
- After mixing the oils, pour out the concoction in a separate container.
- Allow it to cool down completely.
- Then, mix everything together to make a smooth,lump-free lip balm.
- Transfer the contents in an airtight container.
- Refrigerate after every use to make it last longer.
- You can use this natural lip balm instead of store-purchased commercial lip balms.
Frequency: - Use this lip balm twice a day and you are good to go.
DIY Beetroot-sweet almond oil lip balm recipe
Ingredients required: - Sweet almond oil: 1 teaspoon
- Organic Beet Root Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Pure Lanolin/ shea butter: 1 teaspoon
- Dehydrated strawberry powder: 1 teaspoon
- Mica powder: just a pinch
Procedure: - Add all the ingredients in the specified quantities in a mixing bowl.
- Give it a good stir to make sure that all the ingredients get infused into each other.
- Then, transfer everything into an airtight container.
- Refrigerate after a while if required.
- To use this for the longest time, refrigerate it after every use.
- You can also double up this concoction as a liquid blush.
