DIY Eyelash Serum At Home For Longer And Fuller Lashes

Lashes are often one of the most underrated features, but with a little care, they can become thicker and longer, enhancing your natural beauty. While there are countless eyelash serums on the market, the good news is that you don’t have to spend a fortune on them. The key ingredients for a natural lash serum are already available in your kitchen! You can easily create an effective eyelash serum at home with a few simple ingredients.

Castor Oil and Coconut Oil Lash Serum

You’ll Need:

  • Castor oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Old, clean mascara container

How to Make:

  1. Castor oil is a wonderful ingredient for lashes, packed with vitamins, fatty acids, and calcium. However, it’s quite thick, so mixing it with coconut oil helps to lighten the consistency and make it easier to apply.
  2. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of castor oil with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and stir well using a toothpick.
  3. Clean an old mascara container thoroughly with lukewarm water and soap to remove any mascara residue. Make sure it’s properly sterilized.
  4. Pour the oil mixture into the clean mascara bottle.
  5. Use the mascara wand to apply the serum to your lashes and brows every night before bed. Leave it on overnight to work its magic.
  6. For best results, apply this serum nightly for 3 weeks to see visible improvements in the length and thickness of your lashes.

Benefits:

  • Castor oil is rich in Vitamin E, fatty acids, and calcium, making it a nourishing treatment for your lashes. It helps to hydrate and strengthen your lashes, promoting growth.
  • Coconut oil adds an extra layer of protection, keeping the lashes healthy and strong with its rich protein and fatty acid content.

Castor Oil and Almond Oil Lash Serum

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tablespoon almond oil
  • 1 tablespoon castor oil
  • Old, clean mascara container

How to Make:

  1. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of almond oil with 1 tablespoon of castor oil.
  2. Pour the oil blend into the clean, empty mascara bottle.
  3. Using the mascara wand, apply the serum to both the upper and lower lashes.
  4. Leave it on overnight to allow the oils to work while you sleep.

Benefits:

  • Almond oil is packed with vitamins, including Vitamin E, that promote lash growth and help prevent dryness. It nourishes and strengthens lashes, enabling them to grow longer and healthier.
  • Castor oil, as previously mentioned, helps to hydrate and nourish the lashes, enhancing their growth and fullness.

Castor Oil and Olive Oil Lash Serum

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tablespoon castor oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Old, clean mascara container

How to Make:

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon of castor oil with 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a small bowl.
  2. Pour the mixture into the clean, empty mascara bottle.
  3. Apply the serum to both the upper and lower lashes using the mascara wand.
  4. Let the oils absorb into the lashes overnight.

Benefits:

  • Olive oil is packed with essential fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants that help to nourish and soften lashes. Its emollient properties help keep lashes moisturized and healthy, making them less prone to breakage.
  • Castor oil boosts lash growth and provides essential nutrients to strengthen lashes, helping them to grow longer and thicker.

Additional Tips for Optimal Lash Care:

  • Consistency is key. Use these lash serums daily for at least 3 weeks to notice significant improvements.
  • Apply the serum carefully to avoid getting oils in your eyes, and always patch-test before use to ensure there’s no irritation.
  • Be patient. Natural remedies take time to show results, but with consistency, you’ll notice longer, healthier lashes.
  • Clean your mascara wand before each use to avoid transferring any bacteria or dirt to your lashes.
