As we age, our skin’s natural collagen production begins to decline, leading to fine lines, dullness, and sagging. But don’t worry—nature has provided us with potent, collagen-boosting ingredients that you can blend into a soothing night gel at home. This DIY gel is lightweight, non-greasy, and deeply hydrating—perfect to apply before bed and let your skin soak up its botanical benefits overnight.
All ingredients are natural, safe, and can easily be sourced from your kitchen or local herbal store.
In a pan, add 1 cup water and 1 tbsp flaxseeds.
Simmer on low heat until it turns into a gel-like consistency (usually 8–10 minutes).
Strain the gel using a muslin cloth or fine strainer while it’s still warm. Let it cool completely.
Take 2 tablespoons of the cooled flaxseed gel in a clean bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon pure aloe vera gel to this base.
Mix in ½ tsp rose water and ½ tsp glycerin.
Add ½ tsp almond oil and the oil from 1 Vitamin E capsule (puncture and squeeze).
Add 2–3 drops of lavender essential oil (optional).
Mix everything thoroughly using a spoon or mini whisk until you get a smooth, gel-like texture.
Store in a sterilized glass jar or small cosmetic container.
Keep it in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
Cleanse your face thoroughly before bed.
Apply a pea-sized amount of the collagen gel to your face and neck.
Massage gently in upward, circular motions.
Leave it overnight and rinse in the morning.
Flaxseeds stimulate collagen production, firm up skin, and smoothen wrinkles.
Aloe vera soothes irritated skin and boosts hydration.
Rose water refreshes and tones for even skin texture.
Vitamin E & almond oil nourish skin, fade dark spots, and reduce oxidative stress.
Glycerin attracts moisture and keeps your skin soft and plump overnight.
Lavender oil helps you relax and improves sleep quality, indirectly boosting skin repair.
