Clove Castor Oil Baby Oil DIY: Collagen Oil For Young & Flawless Skin

Ready for a glow-boosting face and body oil that smells divine, absorbs quickly, and quietly stimulates collagen every time you massage it in? This Clove + Castor Oil + Baby Oil fusion packs the anti-inflammatory power of cloves, the fatty-acid punch of castor oil, and the silky spreadability of classic baby oil. A few strategic helpers—rich botanical oils, antioxidant vitamin E, and soothing aloe—elevate the blend so it tackles fine lines, dullness, and uneven texture in one swipe. Best of all, the recipe takes under 30 minutes and uses pantry staples you probably own already.

Ingredients Required

(Use fresh, cold-pressed oils whenever possible for maximum potency.)

  • Whole cloves – 1 Tbsp
  • Cold-pressed castor oil – 2 Tbsp
  • Johnson’s® Baby Oil (by Johnson & Johnson) – 3 Tbsp
  • Vitamin E oil (pierce 2 capsules) – ½ tsp
  • Rosehip seed oil – 1 tsp
  • Sweet almond oil – 1 tsp
  • Pure aloe vera gel – 1 tsp
  • Rose essential oil – 2 drops

(Eight simple ingredients, each chosen to amplify collagen synthesis, lock in moisture, and calm irritated skin.)

Procedure

  1. Activate the cloves
    • Lightly crush the whole cloves with a mortar or the back of a spoon.
    • Dry-toast them in a small pan over low heat for about 60 s—just until fragrant. This warms the eugenol oil without burning it.
  2. Create a gentle double boiler
    • Place a heat-safe glass bowl over a saucepan containing 2 cm of simmering water. Keep water at a soft bubble (≈ 60 °C).
  3. Infuse the baby oil
    • Pour the warmed Johnson’s Baby Oil into the bowl. Add the toasted cloves.
    • Steep for 20 min, stirring occasionally. The oil will tint pale amber and take on a sweet-spicy aroma.
  4. Filter
    • Remove the bowl from heat and allow to cool until lukewarm.
    • Strain through a coffee filter or fine mesh to remove every clove speck (micro-particles can scratch skin).
  5. Fortify the oil phase
    • Whisk castor oil, rosehip seed oil, and sweet almond oil into the clove-infused baby oil until the blend looks uniform.
  6. Finish with antioxidants & humectants
    • Stir in vitamin E oil (burst the capsules), then whisk in aloe vera gel.
    • Finally, add two drops of rose essential oil for a subtle scent and extra polyphenols.
  7. Bottle & label
    • Decant into a dark glass dropper bottle. Date the label; the oil stays potent for about 3 months when stored away from heat and light.

Instructions (How to Use)

  1. Patch test first on the inside of your forearm for 24 h.
  2. Daily facial boost: After cleanser and toner, warm 3–4 drops between palms and press into damp face, neck, and décolletage.
  3. Weekly massage: Use a larger coin-size amount to perform a 5-minute upward facial massage or a 10-minute body oiling session before showering.
  4. Overnight repair: For very dry skin, seal in your night cream with a thin veil of the collagen oil.
  5. Hair & brow serum: Rub a single drop into dry ends or sparse brows to condition and add gloss.

(Clean droppers with alcohol monthly to prevent contamination.)

Benefits of the DIY

  • Collagen stimulation – Clove eugenol and vitamin E synergistically promote fibroblast activity, helping to firm lax skin.
  • Deep moisturisation – Castor and almond oils form an occlusive layer that slows transepidermal water loss for baby-soft skin.
  • Antioxidant shield – Rosehip oil’s carotenoids + vitamin E quench free radicals that trigger premature aging.
  • Brightening & tone evening – Gentle exfoliating compounds in clove reduce the look of dark spots and post-acne marks over time.
  • Soothing barrier repair – Aloe vera gel supplies polysaccharides that calm redness and support a healthy skin barrier.
  • Non-greasy finish – Baby oil thins viscous castor oil, so the blend spreads easily and absorbs without a heavy residue.
  • Versatile care – Works as facial oil, cuticle conditioner, dewy body gloss, or nourishing scalp treatment—a single bottle simplifies your routine.

Craft this aromatic collagen oil once, and you’ll have a multitasking elixir that keeps skin plump, radiant, and selfie-ready—all from ingredients tucked inside your kitchen and vanity. Store it in a cool, dark spot, and enjoy that youthful glow every day!
