Body Glow Oil For Radiant Skin

Achieving glowing, clear skin doesn’t have to mean spending a fortune on expensive skincare products. One of the best natural ingredients for glowing skin is orange peel, which is packed with Vitamin C and other skin-boosting properties. Orange peels not only help brighten your complexion but also address common skin issues like hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and open pores.

In this article, we’ll walk you through how to make your own body glow oil using orange peels. This homemade oil is a wonderful, cost-effective alternative to store-bought skin-whitening oils.

Benefits of Orange Peel Oil

Orange peel is packed with Vitamin C, which helps promote collagen production, essential for skin elasticity. Additionally, it has excellent cleansing properties that help even out skin tone, minimize pores, and combat blemishes like whiteheads and blackheads. By using this oil regularly, you can fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation, leaving your skin brighter, softer, and glowing with natural radiance.

Ingredients You Will Need:

  • 1 Orange (for its peel)
  • 1/2 cup Almond oil (or another carrier oil like coconut or olive oil)
  • 1 Vitamin E capsule (optional but recommended)
  • A blender
  • A clean container for storing the oil
  • A stove

Preparation Steps:

  1. Begin by peeling the orange and cutting the peel into small pieces. You can also blend the peel for an even finer texture, which helps release more of the beneficial properties into the oil.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup of almond oil (or another carrier oil) into a pan on the stove. Turn the heat to low to medium—this is important, as too much heat will damage the oils. Add the ground orange peel to the oil and stir continuously for 10 to 15 minutes. The goal is to let the beneficial properties of the peel infuse into the oil slowly, without overheating it.
  3. After 10-15 minutes, you’ll notice the oil may change color slightly, which indicates the infusion is complete. Turn off the heat and allow the oil to cool to room temperature.
  4. Once the oil has cooled, strain it into a clean container to remove any leftover solid pieces of the orange peel.
  5. For added skin benefits, puncture a Vitamin E capsule and add the oil to your mixture. Vitamin E is great for addressing skin concerns like scars and dryness, and it helps moisturize and nourish the skin.
  6. Transfer the oil into a clean container with a lid. Let it sit for a few hours to allow the ingredients to meld together. Your homemade orange peel body glow oil is now ready to use!

How to Use:

  1. Before applying the oil, cleanse your skin thoroughly to remove dirt and impurities.
  2. Take a small amount of the oil and gently massage it onto your face or body. Focus on areas with dark spots or uneven skin tone.
  3. For best results, apply this oil before bed so it can work overnight. You’ll wake up with smoother, brighter skin.

Storage:

Store your orange peel body glow oil in a cool, dark place. It can last for up to six months if kept in an airtight container. Make sure to shake the bottle well before each use to mix the ingredients properly.
