Natural Ingredients to Lighten Skin and Remove Dark Spots

Some people have trouble with an irregular skin tone, while others are still looking for fairer skin.
Numerous whitening creams are on the market, commonly advertised for their effects on skin tone and texture.
It is best to avoid such items, particularly those that claim to offer results overnight since they might trigger side-effects such as acne breakouts, dullness, and uneven skin tone.
A healthy and inexpensive alternative to skin whitening is the use of home remedies using natural ingredients.
They are mild on your skin and don’t give you reliable but definitely amazing results, and they are incredibly healthy for your skin as well.

1. Citrus Extracts
You’ll Need:

  • 1 medium cucumber, chopped
  • 1/2 medium lemon
  • 1 organic mint tea bag
  • 1/2 cup distilled water
  1. Grate the cucumber in a bowl and then put it in the cheesecloth to squeeze the juice out of the cucumber, or just the juice out of the cucumber.
  2. Then add the juice of the lemon.
  3. Next, put the mint tea bag in hot water for about 5 minutes, or use the fresh mint leaves instead of the teabag.
  4. After steeping, wait until the tea has cooled, add the cucumber-lemon juice, and store in the refrigerator in a spray bottle.

This is a perfect fog for acne-prone skin because cucumber has strong purifying properties for an oily complexion.
Cucumber also contains vitamin A, which helps combat dark spots.
Lemon juice contains natural bleaching properties that will help the skin out throughout the evening.

2. Phyllanthus Emblica (Indian Gooseberry)
You’ll Need:

  • Amla powder
  • Wild turmeric powder
  • Lemon juice
  1. In a bowl, take 2 tbsp of amla powder with 1 tsp of turmeric powder and 2 tbsp of lemon juice.
  2. Mix everything really well.
  3. Apply this face mask on your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Wash off with lukewarm water for healthy and flawless skin.

The Indian gooseberry contains antioxidants, has antimicrobial properties, and is rich in vitamin C.
It protects the skin from sun damage and helps to minimize hyperpigmentation.
A study found that emblica contained potent skin-lightening properties that were equal to, or better than, traditional skin-lighteners such as hydroquinone.
Indian gooseberry has been shown to protect the skin from oxidative stress, minimize wrinkles, control melanin production, and help the skin preserve its natural moisture content.

3. Licorice Extract

  • ½ Tablespoon of sandalwood powder
  • 2 Tablespoons of raw milk

  3. Make sure the consistency of the mask is thick, and there are no lumps. Your face pack is ready.
  4. Wash your face with water and a face wash, and pat dry it.
  5. With a brush, apply the face pack on the skin. Don’t forget your neck area.
  6. Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes and wash it off from cold water.
  7. Apply this twice a week for the best results.

The juice obtained from the roots of the licorice plant has long been used in ancient medicine as a remedy for all kinds of skin diseases.
Japanese scientists have identified the licorice compound glabridin, which absorbs UVA and UVB rays and acts as a strong and efficient whitening feature of the skin.
Clinical studies have shown that glabridin can inhibit the melanin-producing enzyme tyrosinase by as much as 50% – and without destroying the skin cells!
Licorice extract is useful in the treatment of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (including dark spots), can also be used to reverse damage caused by acne scars, and contains anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe the skin and minimize redness.
