How to use almond oil for face

Almond is popularly recognized as a dry fruit however very few are aware of the fact that the almond we eat is only the seed of an almond tree. Our almond oil is extracted from these seeds themselves. Almond oil is multi-functional it is one product you can hold your faith in. It is made from two types of almonds sweet almonds and bitter almonds which come from different trees.

What is almond oil?

This oil is hypoallergenic and rich in vitamins and minerals (iron). For its centre ingredient is the almond seed which is nutritionally dense and is therefore suitable for all skin types. It is prepared from sweet or bitter almonds (predominantly sweet almonds are preferred) formed into a texture of glycerol oil (glycerin). It is obtained from the dried nub of sweet almonds (which is assumed to have more oil content). Preparation: Almond oil is developed by blending unroasted almonds correctly into bits. It can be processed at home as well, it involves the following steps:

  1. Blend the almonds using a blender place almonds in a clean and dry blender and start off at a slower speed. Blend the nut carefully. Higher speed may ruin the procedure. 
  2. Pause the blender at regular intervals continues blending may lead the blend to form lumps and clusters. Hence it is required to be checked brought together to foster the process.
  3. Blend at a higher speed as the product is in process of blending you can increase the speed for better results
  4. Add almond oil once the nuts are blended well into a creamy texture add two tablespoons of olive oil to catalyze the mixture to make it smooth and applicable like paste.
  5. Stock the mixture place the mixture in a Tupperware or a glass jar and store at room temperature for a fortnight, giving enough time for the almonds to separate themselves from oil.
  6. Drain the product to get your ready to use product tilt the container into another container allowing the usable oil to drip in perfectly. Your ALMOND OIL is ready to use.

Uncooked almonds and a minute amount of heat is used to process almond oil, hence most of its essentials are preserved even after being processed.

Home remedies 

To reduce dark circles and eye bags

Almond oil with honey vitamin K present in this nut oil helps remove dark circles and honey on the other hand is used to brighten and soften the skin.

  1. Take 6 drops of sweet almond oil (neat) with one tablespoon of pure honey without any preservatives.
  2. Apply the batter around the eye and gently massage the area.
  3. Let it rest overnight.
  4. Wash with lukewarm water the next morning.
  5. Follow this procedure regularly for at least two weeks.

Almond oil with lemon paste or rosewater rich vitamin and mineral content of almond oil and lemon or rose cleans the skin reduces stress and tries to maintain an even tone.

  1. Use overnight soaked almonds with squeezed lemon drops or rose water to prepare the paste
  2. Peel and blend the soaked almonds thoroughly to make a paste. Add lemon drops to the paste.
  3. Apply the paste around the eyes and leave it for 30 minutes.
  4. Rinse away the dried paste off with cool water.
  5. Follow this process daily for three weeks.

Almond oil with castor oil contains essential fatty acids and vitamins which serve as an anti-inflammatory agent to reduce eye bags and darkened skin below the eyes.

  1. Wash your face clean before applying the mixture.
  2. Mix an equal amount of almond oil and castor oil.
  3. Leave it on for at least an hour or two.
  4. Wash your face with warm water.
  5. Repeat this process regularly.

To reduce Acne and Scars

Almond oil with vitamin E is an essential ingredient in curing dry skin and scars. It also repairs dry skin which mainly causes scars to appear.

  1. Take vitamin E oil or vitamin E capsule and mix it with 1 tablespoon of almond oil.
  2. Apply the mixture evenly on the face.
  3. Gently massage in a circular motion.
  4. Let it dry for a minimum of 10 minutes.
  5. Wash with cold water and pat dry.

  1. Take 5 drops of almond oil with 1 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 tablespoon of honey.
  2. Mix the ingredients well to form a paste.

  4. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.

For skin whitening 

Almond oil milk powder this combination makes the skin fresh, silky and glowing. 

  1. Mix milk powder with almond oil with 250 grams of milk powder and 3 tablespoons of almond oil.
  2. Apply the mixture over your face and scrub evenly.
  3. Wait for 20 minutes let the mixture soak in.
  4. Wash your face with water (mixed with some amount of milk powder).

Almond oil with egg white, red sandal powder and turmeric powder is an all-round combination, turmeric powder can be used to remove impurities, the mixture overall provides a glow to the face. It is also used as a de-tanning agent. 

  1. Take 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon almond oil, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and red sandal powder.
  2. Blend the combination into a paste.
  3. Apply the paste evenly for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Wash away the mixture with lukewarm water.
  5. Repeat the process at least 2-3 times a week, depending on your skin reaction.

Almond oil and corn bleach not only whitens the skin but also keeps the skin stay moisturized and hydrated.

  1. Combine cornflour, squeezed lemon and almond oil into a thick paste.
  2. Apply the paste evenly over the face and leave it to dry for 30 minutes.
  3. Scrub off the dried mixture with dry hands.
  4. Then gently rinse your face with warm water.

Anti-Aging treatment

Almond oil with banana this combination improves the production of collagen and preserves the limberness of the skin. It also helps to moisturize and develop skin cells.

  1. Make a paste of 1 mashed banana and 1 tablespoon of almond oil
  2. Stir the combination well.
  3. Apply it over the skin and leave it alone for 20 minutes.
