Sandalwood powder

Sandalwood helps to calm down the irritated skin and get rid of inflammation as well as redness. It helps to stop the itching and prevents the formation of more bumps on the skin. Tea tree oil helps to get rid of germs and bacteria which could cause infection.


  • Sandalwood powder – 4 tablespoons
  • Rosewater – 6 or 7 tablespoons
  • Tea tree oil – 3-4 drops

How to:

  1. To the sandalwood powder, add some cold rose water to make a smooth paste.
  2. Now add tea tree oil to this paste and mix well.
  3. Place this mixture in the refrigerator for 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. Apply this paste on the affected areas of the skin.
  5. Let the paste dry out.
  6. Wash the paste using cold water.
  7. Use this remedy once a day.

Aloe Vera gel and mint 

Aloe Vera gel has cooling properties and helps to moisturize the skin. It helps to soothe inflammation instantly and heals the skin. Mint provides instant relief from itching.


  • Aloe vera gel – 1 cup
  • Mint leaves – 14 to 15
  • Water – ½ cup

How to:

  1. Add the mint leaves to the water and allow the water to boil for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Strain the water and place it in the refrigerator to cool down completely.
  3. Once the mint water has cooled down, add it to the aloe vera gel and mix well.
  4. Make sure the aloe vera gel has dissolved into the water.
  5. Pour this water into an ice tray and freeze for a few hours.
  6. Rub one ice cube onto the affected areas.
  7. You need not wash the skin after this.
  8. Repeat this remedy at least 2-3 times a day.

Baking soda

Baking soda helps to exfoliate the skin gently and unclog the pores. Thus it helps to prevent further infection and soothes the skin.


  • Baking soda – 2 tablespoons 
  • Cold water – 2cups

How to:

  1. Mix the baking soda with the water.
  2. Take a clean cloth and soak it in this water.
  3. Wring out the excess water from the cloth.

  5. You need not wash your skin after this.

Gram flour and Neem powder

  • Gram flour – 2 tablespoons
  • Neem powder – 2 tablespoons
  • Rosewater – 1/4th cup

How to:

  1. Simply mix all the ingredients together to obtain a smooth paste.

  3. Wash the paste off using cold water.

Cucumber pulp and fullers’ earth

  • Cucumber pulp – 3 tablespoons
  • Fuller’s earth – 2 tablespoons
  • Rosewater – 3-4 tablespoons
