Reverse Open Skin Pores On Face

Pores are always open but when they are visible to naked eyes, they make your skin to look rough and lifeless

Pores contain sebum that is very important for our skin to protect against bacteria and pollution, but when skin produces more sebum, pores become larger and visible

Today in this video I will share few DIYs and OTC products that will reduce size of skin pores

So without any delay let’s start with our first treatment, that is with retinoids

Topical Retinol Treatment

Open pores on your cheeks, nose, and forehead can appear larger as you age. If your skin pores are also becoming more visible with age, you should start to use retinoids in night time

There are many retinoids creams are available in market, you can choose either Tretinoin or Adapalene.

Apply just a little amount of this cream on your clean and dry face before going to bed, let it absorb into your skin for 10 minutes

After that apply some water based moisturiser on your skin. Just pat it lightly, don’t rub it on your skin, and you’re good to go for bed

In my personal experience retinoid is the best OTC product, that works very well for large skin pores

Apart from that you should also chemically exfoliate your face once a week.

I personally prefer peel, that contains around 25-30% of AHA and 2% BHA.

Also use A-H-A with lactic acid or mandeic acid, as they are more gentle on skin.

Use this peel in night time only and make sure that day you do not use retinoid on face or any other face pack

After this peel just use some gentle serum and water based moisturiser on face.

If you do not have chemical peel, you can use milk or yogurt on your face, whatever suits your skin type. Both milk and yogurt are rich in natural A-H-A

Now let me share few DIYs that will help you to reduce size of open skin pores

DIY#1 – Steamy Facial

Steam is very effective to clean clogged skin pores. Take steam on your face for 5 minutes, to deep clean your skin pores, and then rinse your face with cold water

If you have acne prone skin, you can add few drops tea tree essential oil or neem oil in hot water.

DIY#2 – Clay masks

Clay masks are also very effective for large pores, especially when you have whiteheads and blackheads on your skin.

After steaming apply clay mask on your face, leave it for 20 minutes on your face and then rinse your face with plain water

To make this clay mask, you will need

Fullers earth powder
Gram flour
Yogurt
And Rose water

In a clean bowl take 1 tbsp of fuller’s earth powder and 1 tsp of gram flour powder
In this add some yogurt and enough rose water, until you get smooth paste
After steaming apply this clay mask all over your face
After 20 minutes rinse your face with plain water
