Vitamin C ice cubes that will make your skin brighter with every use

There are countless vitamin C-based skincare products available in the market, such as face washes, serums, and toners. However, after trying many of them, I’ve found that most didn’t live up to their promises. Many of these products contain ascorbic acid and other chemicals used to stabilize the formula, and unfortunately, they didn’t suit my skin, often causing more harm than good.

But here’s the good news – today, I’m sharing a super simple DIY remedy that will give your skin a boost of vitamin C and you can notice the difference immediately. Best of all, it’s all-natural and you can easily make it at home!

Ingredients Needed:

  • Orange peel powder
  • Aloe vera gel
  • A glass of water

Preparation:

  1. Boil a glass of water in a pan for about 2 minutes, then turn off the flame.
  2. Once the water is slightly cooler, add 1 teaspoon of orange peel powder to the water and cover it with a lid. Let it steep for about 10 minutes.
  3. After 10 minutes, strain the water and add 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel to the water. Stir well until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the vitamin C-rich mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze it for 4-5 hours.

How to Use:

  1. Cleanse your face thoroughly before applying the ice cubes.
  2. Once the ice cubes are frozen, gently rub one cube over your face in circular motions. Be gentle and apply mild pressure as you massage the ice cube onto your skin.
  3. After the ice massage, rinse your face with plain water and follow it up with a hydrating gel or night serum for added moisture.

Storage:

You can store these vitamin C ice cubes in the refrigerator for up to a month. Make sure to use them regularly for the best results.

Side Tip:

For extra hydration, I recommend applying an aloe vera-based moisturizer after using these ice cubes. Aloe vera helps to lock in moisture, keeping your skin soft, hydrated, and dewy throughout the day.
