Beauty expert Shahnaz Husain suggests what you can do to keep the winter chill from making your skin dull and dry.
In winter season skin loses more moisture to atmosphere and starts to look dry and dull
So without any further delay let start with our tips
Tip#1 – Pre bath oil treatment
Massage some oil on your face before taking bath. For this purpose you can use use jojoba oil or avocado oil. These oils are suitable for all skin types.
If you skin type is dry, you can also use olive oil or almond oil
Massage in upward circular motion for 2 minutes and let it rest on your face for 10-15 minutes
Tip#2 – Look for serum with moisture boosting ingredients
In winter season choose water based serum that has moisture boosting ingredients, like hyaluronic acid in it.
Apply serum after toning, pat it on your skin and it will get absorb into your skin. Also don’t forget to put moisturizer after serum. Moisturizer creates a layer of protection and lock the hydration into your skin
Tip#3 – Use gentle face cleanser
Avoid foaming face wash in winter season, it might make your skin more dry.
Instead of these, you can use gentle milk milk cleanser or you can also make your own cleanser
Mix gram flour, also known as besan with curd or milk and your natural cleanser is ready
Tip#4 – Overnight treatment with glycerin
In a clean bottle take 50 ml of rose water. In this add 1 tsp of glycerin and few drops of lemon juice. Mix and your treatment is ready
Take few drops of this and massage it on your clean face before going to bed
Tip#5 – Instant skin brightening treatment
Take fresh orange peels, pierce them with a fork. Rub the peels to get brighter skin instantly
Do this massage for 5 minutes. After that rinse your face followed by aloe vera massage
