Whiten Your Dark Underarms With Baking Soda
Just like any skin issue like blemishes, hyperpigmentation, discoloration, dark underarms can ultimately decrease self-confidence and cause a lack of self-esteem.
1. Baking Soda And Cucumber
You’ll Need:
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
- 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed cucumber juice
- Mix both the ingredients in a bowl
- You can also add a few drops of olive oil and lemon juice (optional).
- Combine well and apply to your armpits.
- Leave it on for 15 minutes.
- Wash off with lukewarm water.
- Do it 3 times a week.
2. Baking Soda And Honey Scrub
You’ll Need:
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- Combine honey and baking soda in a clean bowl.
- Add a few drops of pure rose water if the consistency is too thick to be applied.
- Spread the mixture uniformly over your armpits.
- Massage it for a minute and then leave it to dry for 20 minutes.
- Wash with lukewarm water.
- You can do this once daily.
3. Baking Soda And Apple Cider Vinegar
You’ll Need:
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
- Apple cider vinegar
- Take a bowl and combine the two ingredients.
- You can take the 1:2 ratio.
- 1 part ACV and 2 parts baking soda.
- Make a thick and uniform paste and massage it in your armpits for a minute.
- Leave it to dry for 15-20 minutes.
- Wash with cold water.
- Use this remedy 2-3 times a week.
4. Baking Soda And Hydrogen Peroxide
You’ll Need:
- ¼ cup of baking soda
- Juice of half a lemon (diluted in water)
- ⅛ cup of hydrogen peroxide
- In a bowl, combine the ingredients and whisk them into a thick and spreadable paste.
- Spread the mixture over your clean underarms and let it dry for about 15-20 minutes.
- Use a damp washcloth to wipe your underarm clean or just splash some water to clean it.
- You can repeat it 2-3 days a week.
5. Baking Soda And Orange Peel Powder
You’ll Need:
- 2 tbsp orange peel powder
- 1 tbsp cold milk
- 1 tbsp rose water
- 2 drops of olive oil
- In a bowl, mix everything together into a smooth and lump-free mixture.
- Gently apply it all over the region of the armpit.
- Massage it for some time and keep it on for 15 minutes.
- Wash off with cool water.
- Use this remedy 2-3 times a week.
In comparison to the stubborn dark pigmentation of the underarms, the strong exfoliating properties of orange peel powder are amazing.
Milk, enriched with skin whitening properties, encourages skin lightening, while olive oil moisturizes and nourishes the dry skin under the arms.
6. Baking Soda And Tomato
You’ll Need:

- 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed tomato juice
- Mix the baking soda and tomato juice in a bowl.
- Massage this mixture over your armpits.

- Wash with cold water.
- Use this remedy 2-3 times a week.
Tips:
It seems that baking soda (or sodium bicarbonate) is an ideal ingredient for underarm brightening.
This doesn’t mean, however, that you can start rubbing it right away on your skin.
Before using it, you need to know the possible risks.
- If you have sensitive skin, be cautious about using baking soda.
- Before using baking soda on any portion of the body, always do a patch examination. A physical exfoliator is a baking soda.
- It works wonders by using it a few times a week (followed by good skincare).
- Excessive exfoliation with baking soda can dehydrate your skin (using it day and night), so we do not recommend that.
