Turmeric, secret behind glowing skin

Turmeric stands out as a extensively researched natural remedy for addressing inflammation, offering dual benefits through both internal consumption and external application. Its influence extends to inhibiting the proliferation of microorganisms on the skin, combating acne-causing bacteria, and preventing the spread of infections. With potent antioxidant properties, turmeric also plays a role in regulating sebum secretion and purifying pores.

In today’s video, I’ll guide you through creating a basic turmeric mask suitable for all skin types. For this mask, gather the following ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp of chickpea flour, also recognized as gram flour
  • 1/4 tsp of cooking turmeric powder (adjustable up to 1 tsp, but commence with a smaller amount)
  • 3 tbsp of thick yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp of honey

For first-time users, it’s advisable to start with a smaller quantity of turmeric to avoid potential staining. Follow these steps to prepare the mask:

  1. In a clean bowl, take 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  2. Add chickpea flour to the bowl and thoroughly mix both powders.
  3. Incorporate yogurt into the mixture, ensuring a well-blended, thick paste.
  4. If yogurt is unavailable, substitute with full-fat milk, maintaining a non-runny consistency.
  5. Lastly, add honey to the mixture, completing your DIY mask.

Application steps:

  • Apply the mask to your face using your fingers, allowing it to dry on your skin.
  • Leave the mask on until it’s mostly dried but not completely dry and cracking, typically requiring 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Rinse off the mask with lukewarm water.
  • While rinsing, massage the mask into your skin to facilitate turmeric removal.
  • Swipe your face with milk to eliminate any residual turmeric.

Note: For optimal results, use the mask at night. In case of minor staining, it is likely to disappear by the morning.
