HOW TO GET VOLUME IN HAIR

Everyone is beautiful in his/her own way but voluminous, black and shiny hair always grabs the attention. These days, people face hair fall due to stress, pollution, chemicals etc. 

But don’t worry; the following are the home remedies to get volume in hair: 

AVOCADO

Avocados contain vitamin E, which not only increases the volume in hair but also helps in reducing hair fall.

Ingredients:

  • Avocado: 1
  • Banana: 1
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon

STEPS

  1. Mash the potato and avocado together.
  2. Add olive oil to the mixture. Mix all the three ingredients properly together.
  3. Now, massage this mixture in your scalp properly.
  4. Let it sit the same way for 45 minutes.
  5. Now, rinse your hair with normal water and mild shampoo.
  6. Do this 2 times a week for 1 month, to see the positive results.

ALOE VERA

Aloe vera not only helps in providing volume to the hair but also maintains the pH level of the scalp. Also, it moisturises the hair.

Ingredients:

  • Aloe vera leaves: 2- 3
  • Coconut milk: 2- 3 teaspoon

STEPS

  1. Extract the aloe vera gel from the leaves.
  2. Mix coconut milk with the aloe vera gel.
  3. Now, massage your scalp with this mixture. You can also apply it to your hair from root to tip.
  4. Leave it the same way for 30 minutes.
  5. Now rinse your hair with normal water and a mild shampoo.
  6. Do this 3 times a week, for 3 weeks.

FLAXSEED

Flaxseeds are rich in omega 3 fatty acids. It also contains a lot of proteins due to which it helps in adding volume to the hair.

Ingredients:

  • Flaxseeds: ½ cup
  • Essential oil: 4- 5 drops

STEPS

  1. Soak the flaxseeds overnight in a cup of water.
  2. In the morning, boil the flaxseeds in 2 cups of water over the gas stove. Turn off the stove, once it turns into a foamy gel. 
  3. Strain the gel. And wait until it cools down completely.
  4. Now add the essential oil to it. 
  5. Massage your scalp with the gel. 
  6. Let it sit for an hour.
  7. Now, wash your hair with normal water and a mild shampoo.
  8. Do this two times a week, for 1 month.

AMLA

Amla has a lot of anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and exfoliating properties which promotes a healthy scalp and also increases the hair growth rate.

Ingredients:

  • Amla powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Warm water: 2 cups

STEPS

  1. Add the amla powder to the 2 cups of warm water and mix it properly.
  2. Let the mixture untouched for 10 minutes.
  3. Now, apply the mixture to your scalp using your fingers.
  4. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  5. Now rinse your hair with normal water and a mild shampoo.
  6. Do this 2 times a week for 1 month, to see the positive results.

OLIVE OIL

Olive oil helps in both strengthening and thickening hair.

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil: 1- 2 tablespoons (or as per the requirement)

STEPS

  1. Massage your scalp with olive oil or lukewarm olive oil for 15 minutes.
  2. Leave it overnight.
  3. The next morning, wash your hair with normal water and mild shampoo.
  4. Do this 3 times a week, for a month.
