HOW TO GET RID OF PIMPLE SCARS
Pimples occur due to various reasons such as clogged pores, accumulation of dirt, hormonal imbalance or allergic reactions. If pimples are picked on or tend to get infected then they may lead to scarring. Pimples scars are quite common but they can easily be dealt with using a few simple home remedies which will help to reduce their appearance.
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera gel is the first natural ingredient you must use when it comes to skin problems. Aloe vera gel has cooling properties which soothe the skin and also help to keep it moisturized. Since it is a gel, it can be used on oily skin as well. The main reason why aloe vera gel will work is that it keeps the skin healthy. This in turn leads to faster production of new skin cells and soon after, the scars will vanish.
You will need:
- 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
How to:
- Before going to bed, apply a generous amount of aloe vera gel on your face.
- Massage for at least 10 minutes or until the gel is completely absorbed.
- You need not rinse your face after this.
- Do this remedy every night before sleeping.
Potato Juice Spot Treatment
Potato juice contains skin lightening properties and will greatly help to minimize the appearance of dark spots and pimple scars. Potato juice is mild enough to be used on sensitive skin as well.
You will need:
- ½ a potato
- Cotton bud
How to:
- Grate the potato into thin shreds.
- Now squeeze the shredded potato and collect the juice.
- Using a cotton bud, apply this juice on your skin or on the areas with the scars.
- Let the juice stay for at least 15 minutes.
- Wash with plain water.
- Repeat this remedy once a day.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice can work very effectively on the scars which seem harder to treat. It has many skin lightening properties along with vitamin C which helps to brighten the skin and fade away the pimple scars gradually.
You will need:
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- Cotton ball
How to:
- Simply apply the lemon juice on the affected areas using the cotton ball.
- Lemon juice may cause a burning sensation.
- Let the juice work for 15 minutes.
- Wash away using plain water.
- Do this remedy 3-4 every week.
Rosehip and Tea Tree Oil
Rosehip oil is extremely good for skin that is prone to acne. It has small molecules which do not clog the pores and help to heal the skin from within. Rosehip oil helps in the regeneration of new cells while tea tree oil prevents acne from returning.
You will need:
- 1 teaspoon of rosehip oil
- 2 drops of tea tree essential oil
How to:
- Mix the two oils together.
- Do not add more than two drops of tea tree oil and never use it directly on the skin.
- Apply the oil on the affected area and massage well.
- Leave the oil overnight.
- Wash in the morning using a mild cleanser.
- Do this remedy every night. You may skip using tea tree oil if your skin is too sensitive.
Ginger Tea
Ginger is anti-inflammatory in nature and helps to soothe the skin. Ginger tea helps to provide antioxidants to the skin in order to detoxify it from within.
You will need:
- 5-6 slices of fresh ginger
- 2 cups of water
- I tablespoon of honey
How to:
- Add the ginger slices to water and let the water boil.
- Let the water turn yellow in color.
- Turn off the heat and strain the tea using a sieve.
- Add some honey and drink it on an empty stomach.
- Have this tea once every morning.
