Homemade Beetroot Lip Gloss

Hello everyone, today I am going to share how can you make your own lip gloss at home without using vaseline.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 fresh beetroots
  • Homemade ghee
  • Muslin cloth for straining

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beetroot Powder:

    • Start by peeling the skin of 2-3 fresh beetroots.
    • Grate the beetroots finely.
    • Spread the grated beetroot on a plate and sun-dry until it becomes crisp. This step is crucial to prevent the powder from spoiling quickly.
    • Once dried, grind the beetroot in a mixer or using a mortar and pestle until you get a fine powder.
    • Sieve the powder to ensure a smooth texture.
  2. Make the Lip Gloss:

    • In a bowl, take equal quantities of homemade ghee and the prepared beetroot powder.
    • Melt the ghee using a double boiler to ensure gentle heating.
    • Strain the melted ghee through a muslin cloth. This step is essential to remove any impurities and achieve a smooth, non-grainy texture.
    • Mix the strained ghee with the beetroot powder until well combined.
  3. Cooling and Storage:

    • Allow the mixture to cool down to room temperature. As it cools, it will achieve the perfect lip gloss consistency.
    • Transfer the lip gloss into a clean, airtight container.
    • This homemade lip gloss can be stored at room temperature for several weeks.

Benefits:

  • Ghee: Acts as a natural moisturizer, nourishing dry and chapped lips, keeping them soft and supple.
  • Beetroot: Helps reduce dark lips and adds a beautiful natural tint.

This DIY beetroot lip gloss is not only cost-effective but also rivals expensive store-bought lip glosses in quality and effectiveness. Give it a try, and I’m sure you’ll love the results!
