Simple Home Remedies For Dark Spots That Are Very Effective

1. Almonds & Honey
Almonds are rich in vitamins, healthy fats and also have anti-oxidant properties.
Ingredients:
- Almonds: 10
- Milk: 1 cup
- Sandalwood powder: 2 teaspoon
- Honey: ½ teaspoon
STEPS
- Soak 10 almonds in a cup of milk overnight.
- In the morning, take out the almonds and grind them in a mixer.
- Add sandalwood powder and honey to the almond paste. Mix it properly.
- Using your fingers apply this paste to the affected areas.
- Let the paste sit for 30 minutes.
- Then, rinse your face with normal water.
- Do this remedy 2 times a day.
- Do this daily for 2 weeks.
2.Turmeric & Lemon
Turmeric is known for its anti-bacterial, anti-septic properties which help in lightening the skin and therefore removes the dark spots.
Ingredients:
- Turmeric: 2 teaspoons
- Milk: 3 teaspoon
- Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
STEPS
- Mix turmeric, milk and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Using your finger, apply this paste to the affected areas.
- Keep it the same way for 20 minutes.
- Then rinse your face with normal water.
- Do this once a day. Do this at night before going to your bed.
- Do this regularly for 2 weeks to remove all the dark spots.
3.Aloe vera
Aloe vera is a well known natural spot corrector.
Ingredients:
- Aloe vera leaf: 1
STEPS
- Slit an aloe vera leaf into 2 halves.
- Extract the aloe vera gel out of it. Collect the gel in a bowl.
- Using your fingertips massage the gel on your face in an upward circular motion.
- Let the aloe vera gel sit on your face.
- Do this remedy at night before going to bed.
- The next morning, wash your face with normal water and a mild face wash.
- Do this once a day, for 3 weeks.
4. Sandalwood & Rosewater
Sandalwood not only soothes the skin but also helps in fading away from the dark spots.
Ingredients:
- Sandalwood powder: 2 teaspoon
- Glycerine: 1 teaspoon
- Rosewater: 2 – 3 teaspoon
STEPS
- In a bowl, mix all the three ingredients together i.e. sandalwood powder, glycerine and rosewater.
- Stir the mixture properly.
- Using your fingers, apply the mixture to the affected areas.
- Keep it the same way for 20 minutes.
- Afterwards, rinse your face with normal water.
- Do this twice a day for 3 weeks.
5. Tomato & Buttermilk
Tomatoes are well known for their anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties. They help in skin fairness and therefore remove all the dark spots.
Ingredients:
- Tomato: 1
- Muslin cloth: 1
- Buttermilk: 2 teaspoon
STEPS
- Grind a tomato in a mixer.
- Using the muslin cloth, strain the tomato juice.
- Mix the tomato juice and buttermilk in a bowl.
- Apply this mixture using your fingers on the affected areas.
- Let it sit for 20 minutes.
- Then, rinse your face with normal water.
- Apply this mixture 2 times a day.
- Do this remedy daily for 2 weeks.
PRECAUTIONS
Following are the precautions that you can take in order to avoid the dark spots:
- Do not use chemicals or makeup products on your face very often.
- Make sure your face is moisturised always. Apply a good moisturiser that suits your skin well.
- Avoid exfoliating your skin if you have open wounds.
- Always apply sunscreen lotion on your face before going out. It protects your face from harmful sun rays.
- Always remove your makeup before you go to sleep.
