Homemade Glow Tonic Fo Radiant Skin

A few months ago, a friend gifted me a Vitamin C skin tonic. While it was effective, the cost was prohibitive. This inspired me to recreate the tonic using common kitchen ingredients. The result was a tonic that surpassed the store-bought version in both effectiveness and freshness.

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps combat free radicals, promotes collagen production, and brightens the skin. For this recipe, I chose orange, papaya, and tomato due to their high Vitamin C content. Fresh extracts from these fruits provide unmatched benefits that no store-bought product can rival.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 small piece of ripe papaya
  • 1 orange
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon of vegetable glycerin (adjust based on your skin type)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and cut the tomatoes and papaya into small pieces. Place them in a mortar and pestle.
  2. Cut the orange and squeeze the juice into the mortar. Do not discard the peel; it can be used to make a homemade cleaner.
  3. Pound the ingredients well to get a smooth paste.
  4. Transfer the paste to a strainer and strain to get a smooth skin tonic.
  5. Add ¼ to ½ teaspoon of vegetable glycerin to the tonic, depending on your skin type.
  6. Pour the tonic into a bottle and store it in the fridge. It will last for 4-5 days.

Application:

  • Apply the tonic all over your face, including under the eyes.
  • You can leave it on overnight or apply it half an hour before bathing and wash it off.

Benefits of the Homemade Glow Tonic

This skin tonic is excellent for treating and preventing under-eye wrinkles, dark circles, blemishes, and dull skin. Regular use will leave your skin looking radiant and refreshed.
