When it comes to skin, you know what is the most common problem, it is tanning.
No one likes a tanned complexion and sunscreen is the first product we get our hands on to get rid of it. But, unfortunately, that’s not enough to maintain our natural shine.
Sun tanning is one of the immediate effects of sun-exposure. Exposure to the sun increases the production of melanin, which is the skin’s pigment, or colouring matter.
Once melanin is produced in the lower layers of the skin, it moves up to the skin surface. Since it is dark in colour, the skin also becomes tanned
In this post I will share few quick tips shared by Shahnaz Husain, that can be followed by both men and women to remove tan:
1) Add a little curd to ground almonds and apply as a scrub twice a week. Rub gently on the skin with small circular movements and then wash off with water.
2) Add a pinch of turmeric (haldi) to curd and apply daily. Wash it off after 20 to 30 minutes.
3) Mix cucumber pulp with yogurt and apply on the face daily. Wash it off after 20 minutes.
4) Cold milk applied daily, using cotton wool, not only helps to soothe the skin, but also keeps it soft. It also makes the skin colour lighter over a period of time, if used daily.
