Vaseline Clove Lemon Collagen Serum: Erase Wrinkles & Age Spots

the base of Vaseline, forms an almost impermeable shield that dramatically reduces water loss, giving parched skin a chance to repair itself. Sweet almond oil contributes lightweight lipids plus vitamins A and E that calm inflammation and soften texture. Clove essential oil supplies eugenol, a potent antioxidant that defends collagen fibres from daily oxidative stress. Fresh lemon juice offers natural vitamin C to brighten, refine, and spark new collagen formation. Aloe-vera sterols further stimulate fibroblasts, while vegetable glycerin draws moisture deep into the stratum corneum for lasting plumpness. Finally, vitamin E oil reinforces antioxidant protection and helps stabilise the delicate vitamin C in lemon. Together, these common yet powerful substances build a multi-layered strategy for smoother, firmer, more even-toned skin.

Ingredients Required

  • Vaseline (white petroleum jelly) – 1 tsp
  • Sweet almond oil (cold-pressed) – ½ tsp
  • Clove essential oil – 2 drops
  • Fresh lemon juice – ¼ tsp (≈ 5 drops)
  • Aloe-vera gel (pure) – 1 tsp
  • Vitamin E oil – 3 drops (pierce one capsule)
  • Vegetable glycerin – ¼ tsp

Optional: 1 drop lavender essential oil for a calming scent.

Procedure

  1. Melt & Liquefy
Place the Vaseline in a heat-safe glass bowl over barely simmering water. Warm only until it turns fluid; avoid vigorous heat to protect nutrients.
  2. Form Emulsion
Remove from heat. Whisk in sweet almond oil, glycerin, and aloe-vera gel until the mixture looks glossy and homogeneous.
  3. Cool & Spike
Let the emulsion cool below 40 °C (warm to the touch). Stir in vitamin E oil, clove essential oil, and fresh lemon juice. Working at a lower temperature preserves the power of eugenol and vitamin C.
  4. Bottle
Decant the serum into a sterile 20 mL dark-glass dropper bottle. Cap tightly, label with the date, and store in the refrigerator.

Instructions for Use

  1. Perform a 24-hour patch test on your inner arm—clove and citrus are potent actives.
  2. After nightly cleansing, apply 2–3 drops to a slightly damp face and neck.
  3. Massage upward until a thin, dewy film forms.
  4. Skip additional moisturiser unless skin feels tight; the Vaseline–almond-oil matrix is highly occlusive.
  5. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning—citric acids increase photosensitivity.
  6. Discard after six weeks or if the scent changes markedly.

Benefits of the DIY Serum

  • Seals in moisture & plumps fine lines – the petrolatum-rich base prevents nearly all transepidermal water loss, immediately softening rough patches.
  • Fights oxidative stress – eugenol from clove neutralises free radicals that fragment collagen and elastin.
  • Stimulates fresh collagen – vitamin C in lemon and polysaccharides in aloe encourage fibroblasts to lay down new collagen for a firmer complexion.
  • Evens tone & fades age spots – natural fruit acids and antioxidants gently inhibit excess melanin, helping dark spots recede with regular use.
  • Deeply hydrates & improves elasticity – glycerin draws ambient moisture into the skin, restoring bounce over time.
  • Reinforces antioxidant shield – vitamin E teams with vitamin C and eugenol to create a multi-step defence against UV-induced damage.
  • Supplies nurturing fatty acids – sweet almond oil delivers oleic and linoleic acids that strengthen the skin barrier and calm irritation.
