Skincare Routine For Oily Skin Type

The thing about oily skin though, is there’s no definite reason on your face for that extra oil.
If you have oily skin, it means you have overactive sebaceous glands in your skin that contain more oil than you need.
It’s triggered by climate change, hormones, biology, diet, stress, or just the use of the wrong skin care product a lot of times.
Not to neglect the times that the skin is dehydrated, and to compensate for oil loss, it starts to overproduce excess oil.
It makes enlarged pores prone to blackheads, breakouts, and acne. Well, just because you’ve got oily skin, that doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything.

1st Step Cleanser
You’ll Need:

  • Raw Milk
  • Orange Peel Powder

To make this cleanser you need raw milk and orange peel powder.
Raw milk is the milk you take without boiling it out of the packet.

If you don’t have orange peel powder ready-made then it is very easy to make at home take an orange peel and cut it into thinner pieces.
When you are doing it a few days in advance, you could dry it in the sun, or use the microwave to dry out the peel.
Ensure all moisture is extracted in the peel. Once finished, add the dried peels into a grinder for processing it into powder form.
If you have more powder than you would need, store it in an airtight container, it will last you for 6 months.

  1. In a bowl take 3 tablespoons of cold raw milk and one teaspoon of orange peel powder and mix well.
  2. Mix it well and apply it with a cotton ball over the face, massaging it for 5 minutes with your fingertips.
  3. Keep on with lukewarm water for another five minutes before washing it off.

Milk has natural enzymes and acids which help to cleanse, tone, and exfoliate the skin.
The orange peel powder is a pH balancing agent that helps manage oiliness.
It also helps to tighten and unclog pores in the skin.

2nd Toner
You’ll Need:

  • Green tea bag
  • Neem leaves

Toners work wonders especially for two skin types-acne-prone and oily skin.
They help remove excess oil and clean the pores.
They are not going to clog them, in a nutshell.
People wearing heavy makeup and having oily skin-these homemade oily skin toners are a must-have option for them.

  1. Add a cup of water in a saucepan and boil on a medium fire.
  2. Place 2 tea bags into the saucepan add 6-7 neem leaves into it. You can use fresh leaves or dried leaves
  3. Turn the heat off after about 15 minutes and allow the solution to cool down completely.
  4. Using a strainer strain the green tea and neem solution and pour it in a bottle and store it in the refrigerator.
  5. After cleansing your face with the DIY cleanser, spritz some of this toner into a cotton pad and gently wipe your face, or you can directly spritz on your face.

Green tea is loaded with powerful antioxidants, that help lock the moisture in the skin and remove excess oil when it is sprayed on your face.
It also contains polyphenols that help kill free radicals and create a youthful complexion.
Neem leaves, as you know, are loved for its medicinal benefits.
Bathing in neem water also helps to relieve the itchiness induced by chickenpox because of its antibacterial properties.
It does the same for oily skin because also this type of skin is prone to breakouts.

3rd Moisturizer
You’ll Need:

  • Aloe Vera Gel
  • Rose Essential Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  1. In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients and then transfer to a bottle.
  2. This will last in the fridge for 10 days if store-bought aloe vera is used in making the moisturizer.

This strong blend of aloe vera, jojoba oil, and rose essential oil makes it an outstanding oily skin moisturizer.
Rose essential oil will help to cleanse your skin and remove all dirt and debris while aloe vera will shrink acne and heal inflamed skin.
This all-natural moisturizer is packed with strong anti-inflammatory properties and is loaded with antioxidants that prevent environmental factors from damaging the skin.
This blend keeps your skin strong and gives a youthful glow.
It is a genuinely lightweight moisturizer that can be used throughout the year.
