Skin-Lightening Papaya Facial At Home

Papaya is a food rich in beta-carotene filled with active enzymes and phytochemicals which are healthy for the skin.

Step 1 Cleanse and Steam

  3. Take a half-filled water container and bring it gently to a boil.
  4. Remove it from the stove and bend over the pot immediately and cover your head and pot with a towel and steam your face for a maximum of 2 minutes.
  5. Alternatively, you can steam your face using a wet towel soak in warm water and then put it over your face.
  6. Keep it on for a few seconds and then repeat the process for 2 minutes.

Step 2 Exfoliate
You’ll Need:

  • Papaya puree
  • Rice powder
  • Sugar
  • Honey
  1. Take a bowl and mix 2 tbsp of papaya puree, 1 tbsp of rice powder, 1 tbsp of granulated sugar, and 2 tbsp of honey.
    If you want you can skip adding sugar, but sugar gives a nice exfoliating effect.
  2. Take a small amount of this mixture on your fingertips and scrub it gently on your wet face for about 3 minutes.
  3. Target primarily to remove blackheads and whiteheads.
  4. Rinse with cold water.

Step 3 Massage Cream
You’ll Need:

  • Papaya Puree
  • Aloe Vera
  • Lemon Juice
  • Honey
  1. In a bowl take 2 tbsp of papaya puree, 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and 1 tbsp of honey.
  2. Mix well and gently massage this on your wet face.
  3. To make your skin smoother and more radiant, soak your fingertips in cold milk and gently massage your face and neck.
  4. Rinse with cold water.

You’ll Need:

  • Raw Milk
  • Besan/Gram flour

  1. To make a brightening facial mask take 2 tbsp of papaya puree, 1 tbsp of besan, 1 tbsp of Multani mitti, and 2 tbsp of raw milk.
    You can add more milk with you like your mask to be a thin texture.
  2. Mix well and apply in the upward direction on your face and neck.
  3. Leave for 15 minutes and rinse with cool water.
