How to Make Aloe Vera Hair Oil at Home
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Coconut oil/Almond oil/Olive oil
- 1 Aloe vera leaf
- Rosemary essential oil (optional)
- Glass jar
Instructions:
-
Take a fresh organic aloe vera leaf and wash it thoroughly to remove any dirt. Cut off the edges of the leaf and chop it into cubes. Let the aloe vera cubes sit in water for 5 minutes to drain out their yellow resin.
-
Blend the cubes in a blender to make an aloe vera paste. If you do not have fresh aloe vera you can also use market one.
-
Heat 2 cups of coconut oil in a pan on medium flame. Add the aloe vera paste to the oil. Slow cook the aloe vera oil for 5 minutes and turn off the flame. You’ll notice the oil has slightly turned yellowish-golden in color.
-
Strain the oil and add a few drops of rosemary oil (optional). Store the aloe vera oil in an airtight glass jar for up to 1-2 months.
