Clove Pore Minimising Toner: Shrink Large Pores Naturally
Large pores can make skin look rough, oily, and uneven—especially around the nose and cheeks. They often appear bigger when excess sebum mixes with dead skin, creating congestion that stretches the pore opening and makes texture more visible. This DIY Clove Pore Minimising Toner targets the main reasons pores look enlarged: it helps decongest with a warm clove–neem–tulsi infusion, controls oil with green tea, tones and refreshes with rose water and cucumber, and plumps the surface with aloe vera and glycerin so pores look smoother and tighter. With consistent use, your skin feels cleaner, looks more refined, and gets that fresh “glass-skin” finish—without harsh, drying chemicals.
Ingredients required:
-
Cloves (whole) – 10 to 12
-
Green tea (1 tea bag or 1 tsp leaves)
-
Rose water – 3 tbsp
-
Aloe vera gel (pure) – 1 tsp
-
Vegetable glycerin – ½ tsp
-
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) – ½ tsp (optional; for oily skin)
-
Cucumber juice – 2 tbsp (freshly grated and strained)
-
Neem leaves – 6 to 8 (or ½ tsp neem powder)
-
Tulsi (holy basil) leaves – 6 to 8 (optional but great)
-
Clean water – ½ cup (120 ml)
Procedure:
-
Make the clove-herbal infusion:
In a small pan, add ½ cup water + cloves + neem + tulsi. Bring to a gentle boil for 2 minutes, then switch off the heat. -
Add green tea:
Add green tea and cover. Steep for 5–7 minutes (don’t over-steep—too strong can feel drying). -
Cool and strain:
Let it cool completely, then strain through a fine sieve or clean cloth. -
Build the toner base:
In a clean bowl, mix the strained infusion with rose water and cucumber juice. -
Add hydrators:
Whisk in aloe vera gel (for soothing support) and glycerin (for light hydration). -
Optional ACV step (only if your skin tolerates it):
Stir in ½ tsp ACV. Keep the amount low—too much acidity can sting or irritate, especially on sensitive skin. -
Bottle it right:
Pour into a sterilised spray bottle or glass bottle. Store in the fridge.
Shelf life: 5–7 days (because there’s no preservative).
