Ubtan is termed to be one of the ancient face masks which has been used for ages.

A mixture of sandalwood powder, chickpea or besan flour and turmeric powder is known to be Ubtan.

Recipe #1. Milk Ubtan Face Mask

To prepare this recipe, you will need

  • 1 Tbsp of sandalwood powder
  • ½ Tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 2 Tbsp of besan flour
  • 2 Tbsp of raw milk
  1. Take a small mixing bowl and add all the dry ingredients into it.
  2. Add the raw milk into the ingredients kept in the bowl.
  3. Use a spoon and mix the ingredients well to make a smooth paste.
  4. Make sure that there are no lumps present inside the obtained paste.
  5. Cleanse your face well with running cold water.
  6. Take a tad bit of this paste and apply it all over your face.
  7. Gently massage your face with the applied paste using your fingertips for 5 minutes.
  8. Leave the paste to dry for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • ½ Tbsp of turmeric powder

  4. Pour more rosewater if the consistency of the paste is too thick or if it has lumps.

  • 1/4 cup of Masoor dal
  • 1/4 cup of oats
  • 1/4 cup of Rice
  • 2 tbsp of raw milk
  • One pinch of Saffron
  • One pinch of turmeric powder
  • 10 to 15 drops of Sweet almond oil
  1. Take a clean blender and add all the dry ingredients into it.
  2. Grind all these ingredients well for a few seconds until it turns to a fine powder.
  3. Transfer the ground powder into a clean mixing bowl and add the raw milk into it.
  4. Pour the sweet almond oil into the mix and blend the ingredients well until it turns into a fine paste.
  5. Make sure that there are no lumps present inside the paste.
