Powder For Grey Hair
in this post I am going to share a unique and effective remedy for premature hair greying using a special vegetable powder. This remedy is based on my personal experience and the wisdom of Ayurveda. Let’s dive in!
I started experiencing premature hair greying when I was just 14 years old. Over the years, I’ve tried various remedies and have successfully reversed the greying process. Today, my hair is naturally black, and I haven’t used any dyes or henna. I’m thrilled to share this magical remedy with you, which can help keep your hair black naturally till the age of 60!
The Magic of Ridge Gourd Powder
The star ingredient in today’s remedy is ridge gourd, a vegetable known for its active enzymes that boost melanin production in hair follicles, making your hair black naturally. Here’s how to prepare and use this magical powder:
Ingredients:
- Ridge gourd (fresh or seeds)
- Pomegranate peel (dried)
- Black mustard seeds
- Kalonji seeds
- Fenugreek seeds
- Amla (dried or fresh)
- Curry leaves (dried)
- Coffee powder
- Kalonji oil or mustard oil
Instructions:
-
Preparing the Powder:
- Cut the ridge gourd into small pieces and let them dry in the sun or shade. If fresh ridge gourd is unavailable, use its seeds.
- Dry the pomegranate peel separately.
- Once dry, combine the ridge gourd, pomegranate peel, black mustard seeds, kalonji seeds, fenugreek seeds, amla, and curry leaves in a blender.
- Grind the ingredients into a fine powder.
-
Infusing the Oil:
- Add a few teaspoons of the powder to kalonji oil or mustard oil.
- Mix well and let it infuse for 20 days. This oil will be used for scalp massages.
-
Making the Hair Mask:
- Mix the powder with coffee powder and soak it in hot water overnight. Hot water activates the ingredients quickly.
- The next morning, grate fresh amla (optional) and strain the mixture to create a smooth hair mask.
- Apply the mask to your scalp and hair, focusing on the roots. Leave it on for 2-3 hours, then rinse with normal water.
Additional Tips for Preventing Premature Hair Greying
- Nutrition: A poor diet is a significant contributor to premature greying. Incorporate nutritious foods into your daily meals to support hair health.
- Avoid Chemicals and Heat: Chemical treatments and heat styling can damage your hair and lead to greying. Opt for natural hair care products and limit heat exposure.
- Manage Stress: Stress causes oxidative stress, which can lead to premature greying. Practice stress-reducing activities like yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises.
