5 Ways To Use Castor Oil For Beauty And Good Health

Castor oil is just great, and that’s because of its properties.
It is used as a preservative, a medicinal ingredient, as biofuel, a perfume component, etc.
But apart from that, it also has a range of household uses, particularly for skin, hair, and health.

1. Soothes Aching Joints & Muscles

After a long day at home or at work, if you feel exhausted and all your muscles are wrung out, try castor oil.
Some castor oil shall be used for relief in the affected region.

3. Natural Cleanser
You’ll Need:

  • Castor Oil
  • Olive Oil/ Coconut Oil

Are you surprised to see that castor oil can be used as a cleanser?
Castor oil combined with olive oil or coconut oil is a healthy way to clean your skin.
You need to create a blend of these oils, depending on the condition of your skin.

  • For Dry skin type– Combine 1/10 of the castor oil with 9/10 of the olive or coconut oil.
  • For Oily skin type- Mix 1/3 of the castor oil with 2/3 of the olive or coconut oil.
  • For Combination skin type – Combine 1/4 of the castor oil with 3⁄4 of the olive or coconut oil.

4. Promotes Hair Growth
You’ll Need:

  • Two tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil
  • Two tablespoons sweet almond oil
  • Two tablespoons sesame oil
  • One tablespoon castor oil
  1. Mix the four oils and massage the mixture into your scalp from the roots to the tips of your hair.
  2. You could warm the oil a little bit for better penetration.
  3. Leave it on for at least 60 minutes. Optionally, you could leave it overnight for better performance.
  4. Shampoo your hair to wash it clean. This oil is ideal for stimulating hair growth.
  5. You can produce it in large amounts and store it by adding a vitamin E oil capsule to it to improve its shelf life.

The following solution is a mixture of four oils: coconut, sweet almond, sesame, and castor.
Although you can add or remove oils depending on availability and preference, there is nothing about using all four of them together.
There is a lot of anecdotal proof that castor helps cure hair loss and promotes hair development.
Since it’s thick and hard, it would be better to mix it with another oil to loosen it.
It also has a very strange smell that doesn’t suit everybody, which other oils, such as almonds, can mask.

5. Heals Cracked Heels
You’ll Need:

  • 2 tsp castor oil
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp almond oil

You can handle cracked healing with a very simple formula of natural goodness!

  1. In a bowl, mix all the three oils and slightly warm them up.
  2. Massage the oils on your feet (this should be done during night time).
  3. Apply Vaseline into the cracks of your feet; see that they are absorbed very well.
  4. Melt a candle on a soft flame in a saucepan. Using a flat brush and apply it to the skin carefully.
  5. Let it cool and dry. Wear cotton socks and cover them.
  6. Leave the night. Next morning, remove the socks and peel off any wax on the skin and rub any residual oil into the skin.
